Just because GT5 has Nascar or Rally or weather doesn't make it a feature. it's still just racing using a different car.
I am talking about REAL features. Like TOTAL customization. TOTAL control of tuning every aspect of the car. Modifying the aerodynamics by adding and removing kits which makes a difference in control and car performance.

I agree that the GT franchise is not dead. And GT5 looks like a great game, and it's a 1st day buy for me. But the GT series had ZERO competition on the PS1 and PS2 era with 2.5X more of an install base than the PS3 will have when GT5 is released. Now, we have an over saturated racing market. GT5 will sell HUGE numbers. I am estimating 8 million lifetime. But it will not outsell Halo 3 which is in a genre that is the #1 selling genre of this generation. <...
Well so much for GT5 beating out Halo 3 in sales.
GT5 currently has 123,623 pre-orders in the #1 largest gaming demographics in the world. I guess there is just not enough anticipation for the game.
I am willing to bet that GT5 will sell better in Europe than in North America. But Europe is not big enough to put the numbers past Halo's.

I don't think ANYONE has doubted GT5's visual superiority. But graphics only help with the submersion in the game. Gameplay is and has always been more important than graphics. And right now from what I have read, the features in GT5 don't match Forza's on a Sim like level. Looking forward to what features will actually be in the game once it's released.

Funny how you guys call GT5 the real driving simulator yet not all cars have high detailed interiors...pretty odd why that is. - Ya back 1 and 2 generations ago when GT had no competition. Ever since Forza was released, GT sales and reviews have decreased significantly. Now that reviewers have something to compare GT too and not just the GT game put out the year before, which were ALWAYS the same GT game but with better car models. GT needs to step up their game, and it's once again putting a lot of effort into graph...

Xbox 360 - 6.76 million
PS3 - 1.23 million (PS3 released late in the year so naturally sales would be low)
Conclusion: 360 outsells the PS3
2007 (1st FULL year both consoles have been out competing with each other)...

- Maybe instead of trying to tell a 10 year old kid not to move the expensive piece of hardware, you should be monitoring that kid like an adult and ensure the kid doesn't.
I don't have an issue with new vs. used. If people buy something and then want to sell it, then that is their right since it's their property. However what my problem is the price retails buy the game for and then turn around and sell it at $5 cheaper than a brand new game.
